A nice quality 8 air antique cylinder music box made by PVF of Saint Croix, Switzerland in c. 1875.

The musical movement has been recently serviced and features a rack of 6 engraved bells surmounted by finials and struck by an attractive collection of bird strikers.

It plays a selection of 8 operatic airs as detailed on the original tunesheet mounted to the interior of the lid.

It is housed within a beautiful inlaid case with elaborate floral inlays to both the lid and front as well as kingwood crossbanding and tulipwood stringing.

It also boasts gilt side carrying handles.
