Antique 6 Bell Music Box by Nicole Freres of Geneva, c. 1870


An excellent quality antique music box made by the prestigious firm of Nicole Freres in Geneva, Switzerland in c. 1870. 

The movement features 6 bells struck by bird strikers and has been fully serviced to an excellent standard. This music box plays 8 tunes including The Blue Danube Waltz and William Tell Overture (shown in the video) with a very nice sound. 

There is an 'Imhof & Mukle' reatailer's label on the interior, which is another indication that this is a very good quality box. 

The case is also beautiful, veneered in rosewood with an inlay to the lid together with kingwood crossbanding.
