Antique 8-Air Music Box by Nicole Freres, c. 1870


A very nice quality antique music box by Nicoles Freres of Geneva, Switzerland, made in c. 1870 and playing a good selection of 8 tunes with a very nice sound.

Music includes Handel’s ‘Hallelujah chorus’, ‘God Save the Queen’, and ‘The Guard’s Waltz’. The movement has been fully serviced and is in excellent condition, and sits within a fine quality inlaid rosewood case with boxwood stringing. 

This music box has been very well cared for over the years and even has its original blue velvet lifting tab to the glass dust lid, as well as the original tunesheet.
