Antique 9 Bell Music Box by L'Epee, c. 1875

Sold

A beautiful and great sounding 9 bell music box made by L'Epee in Switzerland in c. 1875.

The movement features 9 saucer bells struck by silvered swallow strikers and plays 8 well-known popular tunes as detailed on the original tunesheet. The sound is excellent.

This is housed within a case veneered in burr walnut with kingwood inlay to the front and sides, along with a mother-of-pearl plaque to the lid. A really nice music box.
