A very nice 8-air music box made by the prestigious firm of Le Coultre Freres in Geneva, Switzerland in c. 1860.

The overhauled movement plays a selection of popular tunes with a very nice sound, including Old Folks at Home and Deer Foot Gallop. The movement is lever-wound, and has the serial number 32163 stamped on the bedplate. The Lecoultre Freres maker's stamp is also clearly visible in the centre of the comb. 

The tunesheet is original and rather beautiful, and bears the retailer's initial “B.B. & C” at the base. 

The case is rosewood with boxwood stringing to the lid, and also features an interior dustlid.
