Antique Mandolin Music Box by Langdorff, c. 1890

A very fine quality and beautiful sounding mandolin antique music box made by Langdorff et Fils of Geneva, Switzerland in c. 1890.

It plays four operatic airs, two each from two separate operas: Martha (Mag der Himmel and The Last Rose of Summer), and Il Trovatore (Miserere and Il Balen), all with a lovely sound and interesting arrangements.

The comb is very fine and also features a zither bar attachment for sound variation. The case is veneered in thuyawood with ebony inlay and boxwood stringing.

It is a very neat and charming box in excellent condition.
