Antique Sublime Harmony Cylinder Music Box by Dawkins, Geneva, c. 1890
Sold
This is an exceptional sounding two-comb sublime harmony music box made by Thomas Dawkins & Co of Geneva, Switzerland in c. 1890. The movement bears the Dawkins sphinx stamp on the governor, and plays 6 airs.
It has been fully overhauled and has a remarkable depth and richness to its sound. This is housed in a very fine quality inlaid rosewood case with kingwood banding to the interior lid and gilt carrying handles.
Rather beautiful, and rather special.
