A lovely petite size buffet-style antique music box made by the firm of Dawkins in Geneva, Switzerland in c. 1890. 

The music box plays a selection of 8 operatic and popular airs with a nice jolly sound from the fully serviced musical movement. 

The case is beautifully inlaid to the front, top and sides with rosewood veneer with boxwood stringing. 

The size and sprightly sound make this a very charming, desirable and slightly unusual little music box in excellent condition.
