Antique Music Box with Engraved Bells by Bremond, Swiss, c. 1870


A very nice quality antique music box made by BA Bremond of Geneva, Switzerland in c. 1870. 

The musical movement features 6 engraved bells with bird strikers and plays a selection of 12 operatic and popular airs of the era with a good sprightly sound. 

The case is beautiful, veneered in rich burr walnut with kingwood crossbanding and boxwood stringing. 

This music box also has its original tunesheet, and the original retailer's label of 'Alfred Hays' of Royal Exchange Buildings on Cornhill in London.
