A superior quality antique music box made by BA Bremond of Geneva, Switzerland in c. 1870.
The movement features 6 bells struck by fleur-de-lis strikers, together with a central drum with 8 beaters, all of which can be engaged and disengaged at will.
The music box plays a selection of 10 tunes as detailed on the tunesheet and has a magnificent sound.
This is all housed within a beautifully inlaid rosewood case with complex geometric inlays to both the lid and front of the case along with tulipwood stringing and kingwood banding.
The case is also mounted on an ebonised plinth, indicative of the superior quality of this music box.
