A great-looking orchestral music box by Ducommun Girod with 8 bells struck by bird strikers, along with a drum and castanet, from c. 1865. This superb box plays mainly operatic airs on an unusually long, elegant cylinder, housed within a truly striking inlaid rosewood case. A real show piece.
